The Cannes Young Lions Competition is coming back to Aotearoa after a five year break! The Commercial Communications Council, along with our amazing media category sponsor, Stuff, is super excited to bring the competition back and we can't wait to see what you all come up with.

The Young Lions competition is an epic challenge for young creatives from every corner of the communications industry. It's all about celebrating the next generation of creative leaders and we know you've got what it takes to shine.

Winning Aotearoa's Young Lions competition is a seriously impressive achievement. But what's even more epic is what comes next! As winners of the competition, you'll represent Aotearoa at the Young Lions Global Competition, where you'll compete against the best of the best from around the world for the ultimate global crown. And here's the best part: the winners will be sent to France to attend the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity from 19 – 23 June 2023!

So start flexing those creative muscles and get ready to take on the world. We can't wait to see what you come up with!

Competition Categories

Entries are now officially open for teams of two young professionals in the categories of print and media. Whether you specialise in advertising, public relations, marketing, or any other area of the communications industry, we want to see what you can do!

 

Eligibility

 

The Young Lions competition is an exciting opportunity for young professionals in New Zealand who are interested in the marketing and advertising industry. If you meet the eligibility criteria and are interested in showcasing your skills and talents in the marketing and advertising industry, the Young Lions competition is an excellent opportunity for you. It's a chance to gain valuable industry experience and potentially kick-start your career in this exciting and dynamic field.

To participate is simple, entrants must currently reside in New Zealand or have a valid New Zealand work permit, and be 30 years of age or under, born on or after 23 June 1992.
