BOTAB 2025

Get ready to bring the party! It’s BOTAB’s sweet 16th birthday and we want nothing but iconic pop anthems - the kind you’d hear blaring at the best 16th birthday bash ever.

Each band has 15 minutes to perform and wow the judges - not a minute more. Your entire set must be made up of pop songs only - think chart-toppers, guilty pleasures and dance floor anthems you’d hear at a school disco.

Set lists are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If a song on your list has already been claimed by another band we’ll let you know so you can swap it out.

The winning band will perform and encore song at the end of the night, so come ready to hit the stage twice with your pop magic!

WILDCARD

Bands will receive a wildcard song to perform on the night. This will be chosen by The Comms Council and Fish.

DEADLINES & CASH MONEY

Comms Council member agencies: $600 + GST per band

Non-member agencies: $950 + GST per band

Backline gear on the night provided (full list TBC) and the drum kit will be a 5-piece set up. BYO leads, drumsticks, keyboard, guitars, bongos, didgeridoos, harmonicas, triangles and stylophones...

Registrations close 1st of August or until all band spaces have been filled (8 available)
