Comprising two young professionals in the fields of creative communications, advertising, or digital agencies. Additionally, freelancers and in-house creative teams from client companies are welcome to participate in the Digital competition.

Consisting of two media professionals employed by a media agency or within a dedicated in-house media department of an agency. Freelancers and in-house media departments from client companies are eligible to participate in the Media competition.

 

Teams will be challenged to showcase their strategic thinking and innovative approaches in addressing a significant marketing challenge aimed at driving crucial business success. Each pair will be tasked with generating the essential insights needed to craft an innovative media strategy.

Winning the Aotearoa Young Lions competition is a feat in and of itself but the winners will also get to represent Aotearoa in the Young Lions Global Competition, where they will go head-to-head against their international rivals to compete for the global crown.

The Young Lions competition is an exciting opportunity for young professionals in New Zealand who are interested in the marketing and advertising industry. If you meet the eligibility criteria and are interested in showcasing your skills and talents in the marketing and advertising industry, the Young Lions competition is an excellent opportunity for you. It's a chance to gain valuable industry experience and potentially kick-start your career in this exciting and dynamic field.

To participate is simple, entrants must currently reside in New Zealand or have a valid New Zealand work permit, and be 30 years of age or under, born on or after 23 June 1993.
